Dexibit's benchmarks provide the context to compare your location's performance to peers, particularly useful for tracking recovery from COVID-19.

In Dexibit, you can benchmark with:

  1. The global industry

  2. Local locations closest to you

  3. Custom cohorts or groups (such as associations, portfolios or cooperatives)

For validity, your location's results are excluded from benchmark calculations and results only show with at least a few locations in order to maintain confidentiality of an individual location's data.

Dexibit's Recovery Index calculates how your location compares to the equivalent day from the last 'normal' year (based on 2019) and calculated on a rolling 7 day average. Rolling averages are used to smooth day to day changes (for example, weekend spikes) to clarify trends over time.

Data is available on the basis of either:

  1. Days since initial reopening

  2. Actual dates

Accessing benchmarks

If you're using a free Dexibit plan, your benchmarks will show as your default dashboard. For paid users, benchmark visualizations are available in the Library.

As with all Dexibit dashboard and visualizations, use the Toolbox Studio to adjust your view and the expanded view to access summary totals, actual data and downloads.

Interpreting benchmarks

To understand the detail behind benchmark data, use the Recovery Benchmark visualization to learn about the statistical components of benchmark data:

  • Upper quartile - top performers

  • Interquartile range - common performance

  • Lower quartile - lowest performers

  • Median - the mid point of performance

  • Mean - average performance
